You've made the decision to go public. Your financial, accounting and legal advisors have been secured. But to ensure the IPO runs smoothly, there’s one more critical step: align with a partner that will support you throughout the whole listing process with the right governance, compliance and register management in one place.
Computershare is just the partner you need to help navigate the logistics of today as well as the demands of the future. We will ensure you’ll be ready to embrace the unexpected, so you can IPO intelligently.
Ask the IPO experts
Industry leaders discuss various topics on preparing for and navigating life as a public company, and beyond.

Preparing for your IPO
Partnering with the right team of experts ensures your company is ready to IPO intelligently.
Support for your newly public company
As you navigate life as a newly listed public company, Computershare has you covered with a wide range of intelligent solutions supporting registry and governance needs and requirements.

Governance advisory / company secretary support
We can combine practical and professional support with our market-leading technology to manage your board meetings, annual report content, insider lists, disclosure requirements and legal entity compliance, to help maintain your governance framework. The scope of this support depends on your needs. For global companies, this can often include the complete outsourcing of your global managed services for entity management.

Ongoing registry management
We have decades of experience delivering shareholder services, offering technology-enabled solutions and professional services tailored to your needs – all delivered with enhanced security.

Holding a successful first annual meeting
Your dedicated account team will guide you through your first annual meeting – which can be an in-person, virtual or hybrid event. We will work with you to ensure your meeting meets the correct requirements and guarantee the votes are collated with accuracy and timing. If required, you can have access to online vote reporting which is updated intraday – a service unique to Computershare.

Engage employees with an equity plan
Whether you need help with a discretionary plan or an all-employee stock purchase plan, we administer the solution that is right for your company while providing your employees with convenient access to their holdings; real time trading and 24/7 telephony support from the UK.
The future: moving forward with confidence
Computershare will ensure that you can take every step with confidence knowing that we will guide and support you as you grow and evolve.

Proxy solicitation
Our in-house experts at Georgeson (a Computershare company) will guide you through your first annual general meeting. They can advise you on how to engage with your shareholders ahead of time and how they are likely to vote. Georgeson can also help you anticipate what proxy advisors will think of your annual meeting agenda and map out how investors have voted in the final days before the voting deadline. If you were to face off against a shareholder activist, Georgeson would be your partner in defending you from an activist’s approach.

Implementing and advancing your ESG agenda
ESG efforts and initiatives will now be high on your agenda, and have a permanent role in your world as a public company. Our ESG advisory services help you understand your own unique ESG landscape, advance your ESG practices, and communicate with investors effectively.

Corporate actions
To continue your growth, you’ll also need the option of being able to handle future mergers and acquisitions. You will therefore need a partner who can make any corporate action happen, no matter the size, scale or geography of the transaction. Working with Computershare means you get a partner with decades of experience managing every type of event and transaction, no matter how unique or complex.

Global capital markets
As you potentially consider expansion into new geographies, having a partner with extensive access to global capital markets and expertise in jurisdictions worldwide will be a significant advantage. Whether you need to manage your listing in multiple markets, move securities across borders rapidly, or stay ahead of regulatory and market issues, Computershare has solutions to connect you and your investors to global markets.
Want to list an overseas company?
If your company is incorporated outside the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, listing rules do not allow your stock to be directly registered, transferred or settled through CREST, the UK settlement system.
We help you to overcome this obstacle, opening you up to UK investors without the need to move your country of incorporation.
We do this by creating a legal structure that allows an entitlement to your shares (called a Depositary Interest (DI)) to be settled as a UK security. Depositary Interests are admissible to CREST and can support your listing on the London Stock Exchange (Main Market or AIM) and on Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE).
We're the clear market leader for companies listing via a DI:
We manage 67% of DIs in issue
We've set up DIs for companies in 30 jurisdictions
We provide access for you to report on your DI register through our secure portal
We offer a flexible approach to delivering a structure that meets your needs
